In order to avoid as much as possible by the self-adhesive material itself quality problems caused by the self-adhesive label printing failure, so before the printing process, the first appearance of the quality of self-adhesive materials to carefully check is very necessary, then our common PET self-adhesive materials, PP adhesive materials and so on. What are the precautions for checking, let's take a look at it below~
1. Check whether the self-adhesive material has burrs rolled self-adhesive material with smooth edges. No damage is the basis for ensuring the quality of self-adhesive label printing. Therefore, before the printing process, you must carefully check the cutting edge of the roll of self-adhesive material whether there is a burr edge, whether due to improper storage and transportation and damage. In addition, the roll of self-adhesive material should be rolled 4-5 times, and carefully check its cutting edges.
2. Check the self-adhesive material for cracks when cutting self-adhesive material, if the cutting tool is not properly adjusted or the blade is not sharp enough, cracks will appear on the face or backing paper of the self-adhesive material, and the fibers pulled out of the cracks will be stuck by the adhesive.
The occurrence of cracks may be continuous or random, and may appear on one or both sides of the roller self-adhesive material. Therefore, before printing self-adhesive material on the machine, always carefully check for small cracks on the backing and top paper. Then, take a section of the sample paper that has been inspected as described above, peel off the backing paper, and again inspect the backing paper and backing paper for cracks, as the cracks are sometimes so small that they can only be detected when the backing paper and the top paper are separated.
It is worth noting that ink and adhesive gradually accumulate on the guide rollers of the printing machine during the printing process, which can also cause the edges of the self-adhesive material to crack. Therefore, even if printing has begun, the above problems should not be ignored.
3. Check whether the edge of the self-adhesive material is adhered, whether the backing paper leakage of silicone coating
The edge of the self-adhesive material is adhered or part of the area in the base paper leakage of silicone oil, in the printing process will lead to waste paper breakage, can not be normal production. Therefore, before printing, take a section of about 1 meter long self-adhesive material, peeled by hand, to see whether the edge or other parts can not be smooth and consistent peeling.
In general, the edge of the face and backing paper adhesion occurs in the entire roll coated with self-adhesive material on the slit roll, generally only occurs in the outer layer of 7-10 meters. Therefore, if there is adhesion at the edges of the slit roll with self-adhesive material, do not immediately assert that the entire roll has this problem.
It is also important to note that peeling light weight facestocks (e.g. 60)G/m2 and 80G/m2 facestocks) is more powerful than heavy facestocks. The lighter the tissue, the tighter it feels when peeling. Therefore, sometimes, when die-cutting the self-adhesive material of the customer's choice according to the shape required by the customer, it cannot be done at the traditional printing speed.
4. Check whether the cut end of the roll of self-adhesive material is straight. Whether the rewinding elasticity is consistent
If the cutting end face of the roll self-adhesive material is not uniform, it will not only affect the accuracy of printing, but also due to changes in the die cutting position, it is difficult to exclude waste; rewinding elasticity is inconsistent will lead to changes in the paper force when printing, the tension is not uniform will also lead to printing quality problems.
The above is to check the self-adhesive material before printing notes, we common PET stickers and PVC stickers, etc. can use this method in the inspection of the material, we avoid wasting the cost of printing before attention to check and then printing .
