High-gloss coated label paper is a kind of adhesive label paper, which uses high-gloss coated paper as the surface material with a layer of adhesive backing, and can be used to make all kinds of labels, stickers and other products. It has a more upscale and conspicuous appearance compared with ordinary label paper, and is suitable for marking and packaging of exquisite products. Common grammages are 80g, 90g, etc.

Cast-coated paper is an ultra-glossy paper made by pressing the paper onto a polished metal roller while the coating is still wet. This paper reproduces photographs perfectly, both in terms of color reproduction and sharp details. It is suitable for die-cutting and embossing, but is expensive and the coating may crack when the paper is folded. To minimize cracking, use paper with one side coated only, avoid printing on folds, and fold with the grain (not against it). Be aware that alcohol varnishes can cause cast-coated paper to yellow. Your printer should perform finishing operations and die-cutting offline with the coated side facing up to protect the coating.
