Many customers don't know what kinds of self-adhesive label glue there are when customizing self-adhesive labels, so they can't give accurate glue needs, and it is easy to cause the problem that self-adhesive labels can't be pasted or not easy to tear off, so today I will introduce three common self-adhesive label glues, so that you can better understand their characteristics, so as to be able to make a suitable choice for use.
1. Water glue
Water glue is also the default glue used for self-adhesive labels, which is composed of acrylic with polyurethane resin and water. Most of the water glue is more environmentally friendly, and the stickiness of the water glue is also very strong, which can maintain the firm stability of the paste at room temperature or 90 degrees Celsius, so the water glue is a very commonly used glue for self-adhesive labels.
2. Oil glue
Oil glue is a very sticky self-adhesive label glue, for some plastic materials or other metal objects need to paste self-adhesive labels have a high standard of paste stability, oil glue will become the first choice, the initial adhesion of oil glue is not strong, but over time, oil glue will become very firm, difficult to tear off.
3. Hot melt adhesive
Hot melt adhesives are rubber-based adhesives. Self-adhesive labels with strong fluidity, strong viscosity, suitable for use in low temperature environments of minus 5~10 degrees, and are usually environmentally friendly and non-toxic, so they are suitable as self-adhesive label glues used in daily life industries or scenes. However, it should be noted that the hot melt adhesive is not resistant to high temperatures, and if the temperature is too high, it will cause the fluidity of the hot melt adhesive to be enhanced, resulting in the self-adhesive label falling off.
